Astran Achieves SOC 2 Type II Certification
At Astran, protecting the resilience of our customers’ vital operations has always been at the core of our mission. Today, we’re proud to share that Astran is officially SOC 2 Type II certified.
What SOC 2 Type II Certification Means
SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls 2) is a globally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). It assesses a company’s ability to securely manage data across five Trust Service Criteria:
- Security
- Availability
- Processing Integrity
- Confidentiality
- Privacy
Unlike SOC 2 Type I, which provides a point-in-time snapshot, SOC 2 Type II evaluates our controls over an extended period. This means our processes, systems, and safeguards are not only designed effectively but are also consistently applied and tested in practice.
For our customers, this translates into stronger assurance that Astran operates with the highest standards of security, reliability, and operational resilience.
Why This Matters
In a world where IT disruptions cost companies an estimated $400 billion per year (McKinsey, 2025), operational resilience is no longer optional: it is essential.
SOC 2 Type II certification reinforces Astran’s commitment to:
- ✅ Delivering uninterrupted performance of critical business operations.
- ✅ Empowering organizations to be AlwaysReady®, no matter the challenge.
- ✅ AlwaysReady® while being always secured.
Looking Ahead
Earning SOC 2 Type II certification is not the finish line, it’s a foundation for continuous improvement. We will keep investing in our security, availability, and reliability practices so our customers can focus on what matters most: running their vital operations with confidence.
